Le président de la transition au Burkina Faso, Michel Kafando, a déchu dimanche le ministre de la Sécurité, le colonel Auguste-Denise Barry. Il lui a retiré son ministère pour satisfaire l’armée qui réclamait farouchement son départ.

Dans un communiqué lu à la télévision nationale dimanche 19 juillet, le président de la transition, Michel Kafando, a démis le ministre de la Sécurité de ses fonctions, trois jours après avoir retiré le portefeuille de la Défense au Premier ministre Isaac Zida.

L’armée reprochait au colonel Barry, considéré comme le bras droit du Premier ministre, d’«instrumentaliser » les organisations de la société civile qui exigent une réforme de l’armée et la dissolution du régiment de sécurité présidentielle (RSP).

Remaniement ministériel 

La crise politique qui oppose le RSP à Zida, accusé par l’armée d’avoir monté un complot pour « régler définitivement ses comptes » avec ses anciens frères d’armes, a forcé le président Kafando à remanier son gouvernement.
